La Chorrera Adventure Park provides an extraordinary way to see Colombia’s distinct natural beauty during this hiking experience. Walk with a savvy guide that lets you in on its captivating endemic biodiversity, and hear in-depth commentary on the native communities who used to live here.

Hear commentary on the local farming culture while taking in the views of the flower crops and corn during the ride to reach the La Chorrera Adventure Park.
Upon arriving at the park, enjoy some typical snacks and do some stretching exercises before starting the hike. This place used to be a spiritual sanctuary for the indigenous ancestors who inhabited the area. Listen as your guide shares insights into their culture as the hike goes on.
For the basic option, your driver will provide you with the tickets, and some instructions so you can meet later on at around 2 p.m.
Hike through the nature trails uphill to reach the El Chiflon waterfall—an outstanding 55 meter-high waterfall. Walk beside the water curtain, 40 meters-high, and enjoy the breathtaking view. Try to spot a hawk!
During the walk, you’ll find a cobblestone royal path built by indigenous people in 1803. By the way, these people did not have hiking boots and would walk on their bare feet. Due to the cold—they had to endure during their long days—, they kept alive chickens in backpacks that served as a source of heat.

As the hike goes on through the jungle and steep climbs, and you’ll encounter a rocking body. This place used to be sacred for the Musica people and whose stalactites, fog, and birds’ trills create a captivating atmosphere.

Later on, through a nature trail decorated and enhanced by colorful moss and beautiful exotic flowers, you’ll have the chance to gaze at the highest stepped waterfall in Colombia. Besides, it’s number 6 in South America and 60th worldwide.
Such a treasure of the tropical ecosystem used to be a worship place, where the Muisca ancestors came to bring offerings to their gods; Sua (sun), Sie (water), and Chía (moon). The natives would not offer gold, like in Guatavita lake, but instead the best of their crops, like corn.
Enjoy the typical gastronomy while taking in the view of the Chiflon waterfall before heading back to Bogota.
